What’s Growing: Week of 11/2

Greetings farm friends! Last Monday it really felt like the end of the season, but in true Kansas City fashion we have at least another week of great growing weather, so we decided to keep going with whatever we have for as long as we have it! There is definitely a bit less than usual, but enough to satisfy the need for a little fresh food in your life. The foods that happily made it through the cold snap include salad, arugula, turnips, mustard, collards, broccoli, Napa cabbage, parsley, and sage. The chickens are still laying, although they have slowed down a bit. We also still have a few sweet potatoes and green tomatoes available. We hope a little bit of farm goodness will be a bright spot for everyone this week. Remember to take a minute to enjoy the beautiful weather, to breathe, and to find a way to stand up for what you believe in!
