Greetings farm friends! This week, our fall CSA customers will receive Japanese eggplant, bell peppers, tomatoes, salad turnips, arugula, chard, and Napa cabbage. It seems like all of a sudden the days are getting shorter, which means less daylight for warm-season crops. Tomatoes are producing a lot less than they have been, even with the warmer temperatures. It’s also really, really dry, but we are irrigating all of our fall crops to still have a quality harvest.
This week, we are starting to harvest the first of the fall “staple” crops-Napa cabbages, salad turnips, and one lonely head of broccoli that was ahead of its siblings! We hope you’ll find something to enjoy from our online store this week, including lots of greens, radishes, arugula, eggs, herbs, and eggplants!
